  • auto Amsterdam - Seyssel, Fiets Seyssel - Avignon, trein Avignon - Seyssel !!! Prima te doen, ook voor 65plussers. - Marian Verweij

  • Pretty good - AFRF

Nice rides and pretty scenery. Some country roads but not too much traffic. And as said at the very beginning the French drivers are very polite. If you use GPS no problem to find the way out of Seyssel. But again GPS differs from sign posting.

  • Greenway sections lovely - Browning

The signs in Seyssel to the Viarhona are confusing. The cycle path runs alongside the Rhone to start with. The provisional sections on the D991 and D904 are quite busy. The Viarhona cycle path crosses the D904 just before the bridge over the Rhone. This is confusing, because perhaps it is possible to pick up the Viarhona sooner. Once you are on this section the cycle path is great. At Belley there is McDonalds, Carrefour, etc by the Viarhona and in the town itself a former monastry with plenty of good value rooms. The road sections are not suitable for younger children.
