ViaRhôna, a route linked to other cycle itineraries
ViaRhôna is connected with several other cycling routes, allowing for additional combinations or excursions.
Here are the main connecting routes from north to south:
- In Switzerland: continue the itinerary all the way to the source of the Rhone River and book your stay
- In Culoz or Chanaz, connect with Bourget Lake and then on to Chambéry where you can then continue on La Belle Via to Valence
- In Ardèche, the Dolce Via offers a loop starting from Tournon-sur-Rhône. You can either take the train to Le Cheylard and cycle on to La Voulte-sur-Rhône, or cycle from La Voulte to Le Cheylard and return to Tournon by boat
- In Beaucaire with La Méditerranée à vélo toward Nice
- In Bourg-Saint-Andéol with the Grande Traversée de l'Ardèche VTT
- In Lyon with La Voie Bleue - Moselle-Saône à vélo
- In La Voulte-sur-Rhone you can continue on La Payre to Privas or Saint-Agrève
- In Le Pouzin continue on the Vélodrome toward Saillans
- In Annonay you can take the ViaFluvia to Yssingeaux or Le Puy-en-Velay
- In Caderousse, take the Via Venaissia connecting the ViaRhôna with la Méditerranée à vélo (Robion)
- Between Sète and Beaucaire the route is shared with La Méditerranée à vélo
- In Beaucaire, follow the Voie Verte du Gard greenway for 31 km and visit the majestic Pont-Du-Gard
- In Sète, at the end of the ViaRhôna, continue your adventure on Le Canal des 2 mers à Vélo all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, or follow the La Méditerranée à vélo toward Perpignan
