Thank you for respecting the construction site instructions and the staff of the companies on site.
Please remain cautious and attentive to the signage in place when you arrive in the areas mentioned below!
GENEVA - LYON
- From June 5 to 8: Implementation of a detour to bypass the village of Brangues via Saint-Victor-de-Morestel during the Castella Festival.
- From June 22 to the end of July: Implementation of a detour upstream of the Biomérieux site in La Balme-les-Grottes as part of sewer network works. We are still awaiting the final authorizations before we can definitively confirm the route. This detour will be in place from Monday to Friday. The road will be open on weekends.
Between Vulbens and Seyssel - ViaRhôna will soon have a new 20 km route between Etrembières and Machilly! This new cycling route will cross the urban area from Machilly to Etrembières and should be fully operational by 2026.
Between Champagneux and St Genix sur Guiers - Work from 22/05 to 10/06 - The cycle route is closed from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM except on weekends and public holidays. Detour via RD1516 and RD125.
Arrival in Lyon - Work in Miribel Jonage Park: Follow the detour in place or, for more comfort, join the towpath (up to Iloz). Then follow the Miribel Jonage canal to the Passerelle de Décines, which you cross. Continue straight on the Chemin de Contre-Halage towards Lyon. Once you reach the Pont de Croix-Luizet, you will naturally join ViaRhôna to Lyon.
LYON - AVIGNON
Closure of the bridge between Condrieu (Rhône) and Les Roches-de-Condrieu (Isère): Passage under the bridge is prohibited! A detour route in the village allows you to continue your journey.
Ardèche: Technical work will be carried out on the Rochemaure and Baix footbridges
Closure of the Drôme footbridge:
Starting January 5, 2026, and for 5 months, the footbridge will be closed on the stage between Livron-sur-Drôme and Loriol-sur-Drôme. The reopening is scheduled for June 12, 2026. As the works require the removal of several elements of the footbridge, access to the structure will be prohibited for all users throughout the construction period.
Note: A detour route for cyclists, over 15 km long, will use municipal roads in Livron-sur-Drôme and Loriol-sur-Drôme (open to traffic) as well as the RN7 bridge crossing the Drôme.
AVIGNON - THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA
Construction work has started between the port of Bellegarde and the Espeyran Bridge in Saint-Gilles (Gard).
For now, you’re still riding on a temporary route… but in a few months, a beautiful 57 km cycle path 🚴♀️🚴 will safely take you along the Rhône–Sète Canal, from Beaucaire all the way to Le Grau-du-Roi.
