The house has been an exhibition venue since 1992, housing a permanent collection devoted to the memory of the painter, François August Ravier (1814-1895) as well as regular exhibitions by other talented artists. Ravier, who led the 19th-century School of Lyon landscape movement, settled here in 1867 and stayed for the last 28 years of his life.

His house now belongs to the town council and is managed by an association, Amis de la Maison Ravier (AMRA), who organise temporary exhibitions as well as safeguarding and displaying a permanent collection of the artist's own works. Visit the rooms devoted to Ravier to gain a better understanding of the way his notion of landscape evolved into the beginnings of the impressionists' handling of light. He pursued the work of Turner and De La Croix, the great masters that he so admired, creating infinite variations on the play of light from dusk to dawn.

The permanent exhibition is on the ground floor which is accessible to disabled visitors.
This establishment is Accueil Vélo and offers specific services for cyclists.
